Experience the gold standard in permanent hair reduction

What is Diode laser hair removal?

Diode laser technology is widely regarded as the “Gold Standard” in the beauty industry. Unlike older methods, the Diode laser uses a specific wavelength of light (808nm-810nm) that bypasses the skin’s surface to target the hair follicle directly at the root.

This concentrated beam of light is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair, heating it up and disabling the follicle’s ability to grow new hair, all while keeping the surrounding skin safe and cool.

Why choose Diode laser?

  • Deeper Penetration: It targets the hair follicle deeper than other lasers, ensuring more effective results on coarse or stubborn hair.
  • Safety for More Skin Tones: Diode technology is generally safe for a wider range of skin tones (Fitzpatrick skin types) compared to older laser generations
  • Faster Treatment Times: The Diode laser has a rapid repetition rate, meaning we can treat larger areas (like legs or backs) much faster
  • Enhanced Comfort: Our machine utilizes advanced contact cooling technology. The tip of the laser cools the skin before the heat is delivered, making the treatment virtually painless for many clients.

Frequently asked questions?

Most clients describe the sensation as a light snap of a rubber band or a warm prickling feeling. Because Diode lasers use integrated cooling tips, the surface of your skin stays cold throughout the treatment, significantly minimizing discomfort.

Hair grows in cycles (Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen). Laser only works on hair in the active growth phase (Anagen). Because not all your hair is in this phase at once, multiple sessions are required to catch every hair. Typically, clients see optimal results after *6 to 8 sessions*, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Diode laser offers “permanent hair reduction.” Most clients experience an 80% to 95% reduction in hair growth. Any hair that does grow back is usually much finer, lighter, and softer. We recommend a maintenance session once or twice a year to keep your skin perfectly smooth.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad spectrum of light (like a lightbulb) and is often less powerful. Diode is a true laser with a focused beam. This makes Diode laser more effective, faster, and usually safer for darker skin tones than standard IPL.

Pre-treatment instructions

To get the best results, please follow these rules before your appointment:

Shave the area 12–24 hours before your appointment.

Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Do not wax, tweeze, or thread the hair for 4 weeks before your session (the laser needs the root to be present to work!).

Remove all creams, lotions, and deodorants from the area before coming in.
