LCN nail systems

Light Cured Nails – LCN. The versatility of Gel with the strength of Acrylic – 100% allergy-free.

Using only the very best technology in nail enhancements our services include LCN Nails and UV Gel Polish, giving our customers a choice of products to suit their needs.

In 1985, Wilde Cosmetics was the very first European manufacturer to present a revolutionary light-cured synthetic resin system of light-cured products designed to seal, correct, lengthen to create beautiful nail enhancements. This resin system has found its success internationally under the brand name Light Concept Nails – LCN. With over 25 years as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of cosmetic nail products, the success and reputation of the LCN Nail brand is based on a long history of providing exciting, innovative breakthroughs to the world of cosmetic science.

LCN light-cured products do not use acetone, solvents, or acids. Continued use of these types of solvents, especially acetone, will compromise the health of your nails. With LCN light-cured products, clients can make a healthy choice for nail enhancements without sacrificing results or performance.

Continued research, development, and product improvements ensure the highest level of biocompatibility and lowest heat build-up during the curing process. LCN light-cured products are highly durable, flexible to mimic the properties of the natural nail, and do not yellow under UV and sunlight. LCN stands for innovations and the highest product quality, especially in the field of light-curing synthetic resins. LCN UV Resins are based on materials used in the dental field. These Biocompatible synthetic resins are perfectly suitable for use on natural nails.

Today’s clients want high-quality products, excellent results, and no compromise to the nail and their health. LCN is a versatile resin, with a gel-like consistency, that can be applied over a tip or sculpting form to add length to the nail. It can also be applied as an overlay to enhance strength to weak or fragile nails.

Frequently Asked Questions

HARD GEL NAILS

Hard Gel is a nail enhancement system that cures under an LED or UV light. Unlike gel polish, Hard Gel is thick and structural. It is non-porous, meaning it is resistant to solvents and water, making it incredibly durable and shiny.

No. Gel Polish is a thin color overlay. Hard Gel is a structural product used to build shape, fix broken nails, or add length. Hard Gel is much stronger than Gel Polish.

Yes. Hard Gel is excellent for adding length via sculpting or tips. It is also great as an overlay on natural nails to prevent breakage.

Hard Gel cannot be soaked off with acetone. It must be filed off by a professional. If you decide to remove it, we will gently file the product down to a thin layer and let it grow out to avoid damaging your natural nail plate.

When the gel cures, it creates a quick flash of heat (exothermic reaction). This is normal. If it happens, simply pull your hand out of the lamp for a few seconds until the sensation stops.

POLYGEL NAILS

Polygel is a “hybrid” enhancement that combines the strength of Acrylic with the flexibility of Gel. It has a putty-like consistency and is molded perfectly before curing under an LED light.

No. One of the biggest benefits of Polygel is that it is completely odorless. You won’t experience any chemical fumes during your appointment.

Polygel is comparable in strength to Hard Gel but is more flexible. This means it absorbs shock better if you knock your nails, making it less likely to snap.

Depending on the brand, Polygel is usually a “file-off” system, similar to Hard Gel. It is best removed by a professional to ensure natural nail health.

ACRYLIC NAILS

Acrylic is created by mixing a liquid (monomer) with a powder (polymer). It cures by air—no lamp required. It is the hardest and most rigid of all nail systems.

The acrylic product itself does not damage nails; improper application and removal do. If applied and removed correctly by a professional (without aggressive drilling or prying), your natural nails should remain healthy.

The smell comes from the liquid monomer. It is safe, but distinct. Once the product hardens, the smell disappears completely.

Absolutely not. We only use EMA (Ethyl Methacrylate) acrylics. MMA is a cheap, dental-grade product that damages nails and is often banned. EMA is designed specifically for cosmetic use on natural nails.

Acrylic is porous enough to be dissolved. We file down the top coat and soak your nails in professional acetone to gently remove the product.

GEL POLISH (SOAK-OFF)

Gel Polish is cured under an LED/UV lamp. It is instantly dry, has a high-gloss finish, and lasts weeks without chipping. Regular polish dries by air and can chip within days.

“Shellac” is a brand name of Gel Polish. We offer professional-grade Gel Polish that provides the same long-wear benefits.

On fingernails, it lasts 2 to 3 weeks. On toenails, it can last 4 to 6 weeks.

The product does not ruin your nails—peeling it off does. If you peel the gel, you rip away layers of your natural nail. If soaked off professionally, your nails will remain healthy.

Acrylic nail enhancements

Since the 1950s, NSI has been a family-owned and operated manufacturer of high-quality monomers, polymers, and other enhancement products for the professional nail industry. As early developers, inventors, and chemists, NSI pioneered and developed the first non-yellowing, cross-linked formulations used in all traditional acrylic systems today.

As pioneers, NSI was the first to introduce fiberglass-reinforced polymers, light-activated liquid and powder acrylics, UV-cured gels, and air and heat-activated polish sealants.
